Ultimate Spider-Man is soon to debut on Disney XD and multiple live-action series are currently in development with MARVEL so it’s an exciting time for TV coming from the Comics Giant. Jeph Loeb Head of Marvel Television was at the panel to give the DL on upcoming projects:

  1. The TV Hulk show is to resemble the Avengers movie Hulk as closely as possible. “I’m very, very confident that the Hulk you’re going to see when we finally get on the air on ABC, is going to look like something other than us putting a lot of paint on Lou Ferrigno” says Loeb
  2. Loeb tells the crowd about the Cloak and Dagger series in development at ABC Family, long rumored and confirmed by Marvel at Comic-Con in San Diego this past summer – Cloak and Dagger takes place in post-Katrina New Orleans.
  3. Another project announced at Comic-Con, Mockingbird at ABC Family, is currently up. Loeb explains the premise — by day, a student, by night a secret-agent-in-training – “Alias mixed together with Felicity.”
  4. Loeb announced that Marvel Knights Animation is going to adapt the entire Joss Whedon/John Cassaday run of Astonishing X-Men to the format.
  5. Shout Factory is releasing a five-disc DVD set with Iron Man: Extremis, Spider-Woman, Black Panther, Astonishing X-Men and Thor/Loki: Blood Brothers.
  6. Ultimate Spider-Man animated series, where Agent Coulson will be both a SHIELD agent and Peter Parker’s high school principal.
  7. “We put together what we think is the finest writing team currently working in animation,” Loeb said, naming Paul Dini, Joe Kelly, Joe Casey, Duncan Rouleau, Steve Seagle and Brian Michael Bendis.
  8. Also, Loeb talked the in development animated series Hulk: Agents of S.M.A.S.H. Loeb said that Paul Dini wanted to something that “really reminded him of the days of Stan and Jack.” The series will star the green Hulk, the Red Hulk, Skaar, A-Bomb (Rick Jones) and She-Hulk.
