There’s a few things you can always rely on at Christmas. Last minute shopping. Getting at least one dodgy present that you have feign enthusiasm for. And lastly, eating way too much and being unable to move for a few hours after your Christmas feed… which works out pretty well because you can spend that time watching the BBC’s Dr Who Christmas special.
.
The episode, which is written by Steven Moffat, will finally (and by that I mean properly) introduce us to the Doctor’s new companion, Jenna Louise Coleman’s Clara and sees the Doctor face off against some pretty evil snowman.
.
Synopsis:
Christmas Eve 1892 and the falling snow is the stuff of fairy-tales. When the fairy-tale becomes a nightmare and a chilling menace threatens Earth, an unorthodox young governess, Clara, calls on the Doctor for help. But the Doctor is in mourning, reclusive and determined not to engage in the problems of the universe. As old friends return, will the Doctor really abandon humankind or will he fight to save the world – and Christmas – from the icy clutches of this mysterious menace.
So will you be checking out the Dr Who Christmas special and do you think it can live up to the previous outtings of everyone’s favourite Time Lord? Let us know in the comments section.
