In the most heeelarious bit of news I’ve heard lately, a fed up father hired a group of in-game assassins to constantly target and kill his 23-year old son’s character in his favorite role playing game so that he might become discouraged with the game and go get himself a job.
Feng, from China decided to hire players in his son’s favorite online games to hunt down his work shy son Xiao Feng after becoming so fed up with his sons couch potato habits and lack of thoughts on getting himself a 9-5 that the only thing he could think of was virtual assassination.
It is unknown where or how Feng found the in-game assassins–every one of the players he hired were stronger and higher leveled than Xiao Feng. Feng’s idea was that his son would get bored of playing games if he was killed every time he logged on, and that he would start putting more effort into getting a job.
Despite being sick of getting killed every time, Xiao Feng decided to stick up to his father and tell him how he felt. He was quoted as saying, “I can play or I can not play, it doesn’t bother me. I’m not looking for any job–I want to take some time to find one that suits me.”
Well then, that’s Feng told….. until he flips and decides to put a sledgehammer through Xiao Feng’s computer…..and then his head for reals?
Okay, hopefully that never happens, but it was the first thing I thought (possibly a product of watching too many horror movies and/or reading BBC News) when I read this.
Stay tuned for when this whole thing turns homicidal and wrong.
