Last nights shootings in Colorado have seen further details emerge via New York Police Commissioner Ray Kelly during his address on security measures being taken for the screenings of DKR in NYC, which could still potentially be cancelled by Time Warner. ABC News reports:
New York Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said the gunman suspected of attacking a crowded movie theater in Aurora, Colorado resembled Batman’s arch-villain “The Joker” at the time of the shocking attack.
“We have some information, most of it is public. It clearly looks like a deranged individual. He had his hair painted red, he said he was ‘The Joker,’ obviously the ‘enemy’ of Batman,” Kelly said about the suspect, 24-year-old James Holmes, at a news conference Friday.
A further source added:
“He said he was the Joker,” one law enforcement official told ABC News, referring to a villain from the Batman series.
This story was broken via Bleeding Cool and although the gun man seems to be at odd’s with his version of The Joker, it doesn’t detract from the mania behind his actions, nor the dire broad-spanning consequences.
More updates as they come in.
