After 3 days of Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Rian Johnson teasing us, we finally have the complete teaser trailer for time-travel thriller Looper. Re-teaming Brick’s Johnson and Levitt was enough to sell me, then having Bruce Willis play the older version of Levitt sealed the deal. I’m excited for this one.
Here’s the synopsis:
Looper, time travel will be invented – but it will be illegal and only available on the black market. When the mob wants to get rid of someone, they will send their target 30 years into the past, where a “looper” – a hired gun, like Joe (Gordon-Levitt) – is waiting to mop up. Joe is getting rich and life is good… until the day the mob decides to “close the loop,” sending back Joe’s future self (Willis) for assassination. The film is written and directed by Rian Johnson and also stars Emily Blunt, Paul Dano, and Jeff Daniels. Ram Bergman and James D. Stern produce.
Looks great and the addition of Emily Blunt firing a shotgun almost sent me over the edge. Also, I like to imagine that this is why JGL doesn’t immediately fire when he sees Willis…..
