With this being Marvel/Disney’s first standalone movie since the teaming up of The Avengers, there’s a lot riding on the next outing of Shane Black’s Iron Man 3 (especially considering the mediocre Iron Man 2). Whilst this trailer doesn’t give too much away (beyond the fact that ole Pepper Potts may be in the firing line this time around) I like the fact that it seems Robert Downey Jr’s Tony Stark seems to be suffering from some form of post traumatic stress following the events of The Avengers (though why doesn’t he just suck it up and take going through a space portal and dying like a man).
Iron Man 3 seems like it could be a quite personal tale for Stark, well amid the explosions that is, and I’m really hoping we get to see some of RDJ’s acting chops when he’s given a little more to do than play a smarmy, millionaire playboy…even if he does that really well.
