In the new thriller Girls Against Boys, men have wronged Shae for the last time. Instead of the usual method of moving on that most women resort to, which involves a myriad of chick flicks, and a large amount of Ben and Jerry’s, she and her coworker Lu decide to join up and get even.
I’m pretty excited for this film, as I am for any slasher that depicts women as the villains and men as the victims. This doesn’t mean that I have anything against men, or that I see women as wrongdoers, I just find it thrilling to see the tables turned every once in a while. It isn’t very common, and it makes the outcome of the film harder to predict. Surprisingly enough, the film was written and directed by a man, so I’m guessing that he feels the same way that I do.
