Katee Sackhoff Joins Occulus….Schawing!
Katee Sackhoff, Battlestar Galactica’s Starbuck and Sarah Corvus from The 2007 Bionic Woman series that no one seems to remember but me (dammit!) is set to star in a new Horror entitled Occulus alongside ginger sci-fi princess Karen Gillen (Amy Pond from Doctor Who). The plot goes:
A terrifying family incident [has] left two young children orphans. Although her brother was charged with murder, Kaylie is convinced a haunted antique mirror is the real perpetrator and years later wants prove that the mirror was responsible for destroying their family.
Beyond that I have no idea about the rest of the Mike Flanagan directed production and at this early stage I’m only really interested because I fancy both Starbuck and Amy Pond and keep picturing what a threesome with them would be like in my head…..

Michael Bay Talks Giving Birth
To TRANSFORMERS 4 (Out His Ass)
Michael Bay Recently had this to say about his involvement in the 4th Transformers:
“I thought I was done, then the ride came out and the two-and-a-half-hour lines. And then you’re thinking, ‘Oh my God, someone’s going to take this over?’ And you start doing a lot of soul-searching… I’m thinking that if I do this last one, we set it on a new footing and we change a lot of things, but we keep the history of the three in place.
But we broaden it so it can be set up and be carried on — it would have a better chance for survival, I guess… The bottom line is, when you go to Universal Studios and you have the two-and-a-half-hour line, it’s hard to give it up. You birth a baby and you want to carry it on.”
What a lovely sentiment. Yet I can’t help but wish that when Bay tried to impregnate Transformers the first time the studio had worn a condom!

Del Toro Brings The STRAIN To TV
In between waiting on Hulk to get green lit for ABC and having a million movie plate spinning Gullermo Del Toro’s having his and Chuck Hogan’s The Strain prepped for FX. Seeing as how the modern vampire is camper than a row of tents, Del Toro plans on bringing back the nasty. He had this to say about it:
These are very scary vampires. These are not romantic vampires. They will give you nightmares.
Thank Christ for that!

Kevin Feige Talks PLANET HULK
Marvel Studios big wig Kevin Feige recently answered some Q’s on my fave Marvel character and two of his best ever stories; Planet Hulk and World War Hulk by Greg Pak, in which Hulk is shot into space, forced to become a gladiator, frees a planet, then returns home and literally beats the shit out of the entire Marvel U as revenge for them fucking him over. It’s absolutely great! Here’s what he said in a series of quotes about the Green Goliath;
I don’t think there’s a lot that we couldn’t do someday, as the cinematic universe continues to grow and expand and get as big as the comic book universe. Planet Hulk is a cool story, World War Hulk is a cool story.
I think there’s pitfalls of continuity-overload, and mythology getting so dense that it almost collapses in on itself. It happens every few decades or so in the comics. Apart from that, I’d say everything is on the table.
Do I think Hulk can carry a movie and be as entertaining as he was in Avengers? I do believe that. I do believe he absolutely could. We certainly are not even going to attempt that until Avengers 2. So there’s a lot of time to think about it.
Part of what’s fun about the way we played him in Avengers is the ensemble quality of it. I think the pathos and humor, most importantly, that Mark and Joss brought to it showcased a different element of Hulk that’s there in the comics, and was always inherent in his character. But when he was so brooding in his other two films, he didn’t get to have that wry sense of humor that Mark did such an amazing job performing.
