Here’s a round up of the rest of the important (and by that we mean, somewhat boring) news of the day. Also, it kinda looks like we were going for the “Longest title ever”.
New posters for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and The Dark Knight Rises
The new international AL:VH poster shows us honest Abe and his trusty Axe:

Visionary filmmakers Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov (director of Wanted) bring a fresh and visceral voice to the blood-thirsty lore of the vampire, imagining Lincoln as history’s greatest hunter of the undeadstars Benjamin Walker, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Rufus Sewell, Jimmi Simpson, Dominic Cooper, Anthony Mackie.
While The Poster for The Dark Knight Rises seems to show ole Bats surrounded by a burning Gotham:
Oh my, very foreboding.

Charilze Theron talks about Meredith Vickers in latest feature from Prometheus (And new image of Michael Fassbender’s David)
This one is actually interesting news but with Ridley Scott’s Prometheus being so close to release we don’t want to overload you with too much information (we learned our lesson with The Avengers). However, I do think that looks like Vickers will be a pretty badass character.
Warning: Footage contains spoilers:
The much-anticipated film takes a team of scientists and explorers on a thrilling journey that will test their physical and mental limits and strand them on a distant world, where they will discover the answers to our most profound questions and to life’s ultimate mystery. Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Guy Pearce, Idris Elba and Logan Marshall-Green also star.
New Viral Videos and images from The Amazing Spider-Man:
The viral campaigns for this Summer’s blockbusters are growing steadily more and more complex. Last week Oscorp were looking for interns and today we have these video diaries from Dr Connors concerning unspecified research they’re doing on lab animals. Is it just me or do these seem kinda redundant as, even if you didn’t know Dr Connors was the lizard from the comics, the trailers have pretty much revealed that fact by now?
Also released were these 2 documents which look at Spiders and their webs (I wonder why that is?):
The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets.
As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents’ disappearance – leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr Curt Connors (Ifans), his father’s former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors’ alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.
Poster and preview of GAME OF THRONES Season 2: ep 9 “Blackwater”
Normally we wouldn’t bother with previews for individual episodes of TV shows but seeing as so much has been made of this episode, we thought we might break our own rule just this once.
I’m mainly excited about this ep because we finally get to see a battle for the Iron Throne (for a season that’s been based around a war, there really has been very little battling in GOT this season). Plus it’s directed by Dog Soldiers/ Centurion’s Neil Marshal, who is ace.
Bronn fires flaming arrows at anyone who even mentions Robson and Jerome!
“Blackwater” is the ninth episode of the second season of HBO’s medieval fantasy television series Game of Thrones. The episode is written by George R. R. Martin, the author of the A Song of Ice and Fire novels of which the series is an adaptation, and directed for the first time by Neil Marshall. It is to air on HBO on 27 May 2012.
The first is a quick recap of the season.
But this one has gotten me excited……
Nathan Fillion doesn’t want to be Ant Man and doesn’t think he could be Nathan Drake.
We all love Nathan Fillion. He’s a God amongst nerds and we think he should be in pretty much every nerd related movie out there. However, it seems Nathan doesn’t have the quite the same amount of enthusiasm for him getting certain roles as much as we do. When asked about playing Ant Man, he had this to say:
“Did you ever just love Ant-Man? Not me.”
Which is fair enough really. Whilst Ant Man’s popularity has risen over the years, I’m pretty sure most people would still pick alot of other characters to play if they had the chance. He also made a similar statement about the role of Steve Trevor in a Wonder Woman film.
He did show alot of interest in playing Nathan Drake (a role seemingly tailor made for the actor) if they ever finally got around to making films based on Naughty Dog’s Uncharted series:
“That would be great, because everyone wants their own Indiana Jones movie.”
But also, pointed out that he might not have the box office clout to headline a movie such as that…..
“If I were making that movie, I wouldn’t get me to do it. Do I want to be in it? Yes!”
We’d still root for you Nathan!
