Whilst I’d reservations about Snow White and the Huntsman (and still do to a certain degree), I’m still a lot more excited about this fairy tale re-imaging than all the others combined. It has a great cast (including Hunk of the minute Chris Hemsworth, Charlize Theron making evil look good and the always lovely, if slightly mopey, Kirsten Stewart). The setting looks suitably pretty grim and forbidding from the trailers we’ve seen, it looks like it could be pretty dark and, most importantly, it seems there might be a decent amount of action so I’m willing to give it a chance.
Here’s the synopsis:
In the epic action-adventure Snow White and the Huntsman, Kristen Stewart (Twilight) plays the only person in the land fairer than the evil queen (Oscar® winner Charlize Theron) who is out to destroy her. But what the wicked ruler never imagined is that the young woman threatening her reign has been training in the art of war with a huntsman (Chris Hemsworth, Thor) who was dispatched to kill her. Sam Claflin (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides) joins the cast as the prince long enchanted by Snow White’s beauty and power.
