The Reverend Bob Larson Says Heath Ledger Was Possessed. BAD HAVEN Beg’s To Differ

The Reverend Bob Larson, a professional Exorcist and clearly very opinionated fella recently chatted with Movieweb about the new horror film The Devil Inside, and then shifted topics to Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight. See Larson believes that Ledger was possessed by a demon during the filming of movie, and went on to elaborate with this length of wank:

“I’d be more worried about a Heath Ledger and a Joker character. We all know where that ended up. As legend has it, even Jack Nicholson warned him not to do that movie, because of the nature of that role. There is always a danger in loosing that line of distinction. But I don’t see that happening in this particular film. Because I think they take a realistic, factual approach to it. At the beginning of the film, which I like, there is a lot of interaction and discussion about what exorcism is. How it operates. Through the dialogue, the questions of these young seminarians that are in this exorcism school give very authentic answers. There was very little that I could disagree with there. At least there is the semblance of factuality here, which is very strong…Which is very different from something like Paranormal Activity, which is just about looking for things that go bump in the night.”

“I would say…something overtook that man. There is a strong possibility that somehow, he just took on too much of the evil of this character. After all, whether it was psychological or spiritual, he could not draw that distinction anymore. That is not the first time I’ve had an actor tell that sort of thing to me. When they are called onto portray that role. With this movie here, though, I don’t see that happening.”

Well, personally I think the good Reverend’s argument is up there with ‘console games turning teens into super violent killing machines’, only in this case it’s playing the Joker turned Heath Ledger evil. If that was the case then Alice Cooper would be the actual Prince of Darkness, and not some laid back elderly gentleman who enjoys golf and has a passion for on stage theatrics.

So I say: shame on you Reverend Bob Larson, you headline grabbing ecumenical dick cheese. It’s this sort of sensationalist balls that reduces rational people into crowd following mumbleoids, and brings superstition and fear into the houses of otherwise clear headed cinema goers. Ledger died from an accidental toxic combination of prescription drugs, not a demon joy riding in his head, you stupid old ass-hole. Stop trying to profiteer off the man’s death, fuck off back to church and quit scaring people!

Well Bad Man, I know enough about Bob Larson, McExorcist, to know his history and to cite the various accusations against him and claims he’s made about himself. I used to be a member of the usenet Bob Larson Fan Club ( now defunct) but there is a Facebook version that I now run.

First, I always find it ironic that most of the reported amazing miracles and accounts of demonic activity occur in poor uneducated 3rd world countries. I’m wondering if the simple action of spreading anti-epileptic drugs and various other neurological disorder related medication would drop the number of demonic possessions in many African nations. It’s amazing how the demons of leprosy reported in the bible have left humans alone in developed countries since the advent of antibiotics and soap.

Second, The demon slayer teens say that a headache and dilated pupils are a sign of demon possession. A headache and dilated pupils are also symptoms of a sinus headache, migraine, drug use, or a head injury. Where does the science of exorcism come into play? If we have so much confirming evidence,(Bob Larson claims over 15000 exorcisms) why is there no science on the subject? Me thinks that the reason may be that 99% of demonic possession is a flavor mental illness or a case of someone who didn’t get enough hugs and needs attention.

Third, The first 4 of the 5 Demonic Possession Symptoms from Larson are also signs that you’re likely between the ages of 12-17 and full of angst. In addition, if you’re a teenager that lives in a country that does not speak his/her native tongue, you can fill out the whole demon possession symptom profile.

Just so you know Moe, Your assassination of Bob Larson as a schmoe bag has just about made my day. Thanks so much for this, I enjoyed it immensely :)

Bob Larson is an attention seeking greedy poser, a fraud in his claim of being a “real exorcist” and in the past he’s made comments about dead celebrities like amy Winehouse, Christopher Reeve and Sam Kineson. Currently he’s trying to whore his 16-year old daugher and her four teen friends in a ” reality” series about his “school of exorcism”.

Larson, whom I call McExorcist, is a male bovine excrement spewer and does this for self publicity and for money. In some ways one can also say he is a cult leader of his ” Spiritual Freedom Church” franchise, ironically because a few decades ago he claimed to be an authority on “cults and the occult”.

In essence Bob Larson is a lowlife con artist.

Why thank you. I felt it was entirely necessary :)

Absolute bull on his part. Jack Nicholson never warned Ledger about playing the Joker…he warned him about the sleeping pills he was taking.

    Nice retort though BadMan
