This amazing animated sci-fi short film – titled R´ha was written, directed and created by 22-year-old Kaleb Lechowski during the first year of his studies.
The synopsis goes:
“A member of an alien race is being interrogated and tortured by a machine.”
But this doesn’t do justice to this beautifully composed robopocalypse that sees an alien planet fall victim to it’s reliance on AI War Machines to protect them, when said machines go rogue. It’s got the feel of Terminator/The Matrix set on an alien world with no humans, which is really unique considering normally most features demand a human protagonist for us to relate to.
Lechowski created the entire feature except for the sound, by Hartmut Zeller, and the voice acting, by Dave Masterson and it’s all that. Check it out below:
